Extolla expands ANZ expertise with senior supply chain appointments

Extolla has bolstered its Australia and New Zealand operations with four senior appointments as demand grows for end-to-end supply chain expertise.

Joining the business are Adam Rowland, Scott James, Adam Balarin, and David Dessmann, bringing senior experience across supply chain strategy, retail planning and execution, technology implementation, logistics operations, commercial transformation, automation, and business optimisation.

Joining Extolla as Senior Consultant for Commercial Strategy and Transformation, Adam Rowland brings more than 25 years of international leadership experience spanning buying, merchandise planning, product strategy, and supply chain. Having worked with major retail brands across Europe, Australasia and the Asia-Pacific region, Adam specialises in improving forecasting accuracy, inventory productivity, assortment strategy, and cross-functional alignment. His ability to connect commercial strategy with operational execution helps organisations drive profitable and sustainable growth.

Adam Balarin, Senior Consultant, brings more than 20 years of experience in supply chain strategy, network optimisation and end-to-end transformation across Australia, New Zealand, and South-East Asia. Having held senior leadership and board-level roles with organisations including Unilever, IAG, and Genpact, Adam has built a strong reputation for delivering measurable improvements in cost, operational efficiency, quality, safety, and environmental performance. His collaborative leadership style helps organisations embed sustainable change and build long-term capability.

Leading Extolla’s Warehouse Management System and Transport Management System implementation capability is Scott James, a logistics and supply chain professional with more than 35 years of industry experience. He has successfully delivered Tier 1 and Tier 2 WMS implementations across industries including healthcare, pharmaceuticals, FMCG, retail, eCommerce, cold chain, and government.

His expertise also spans automation, robotics, and integrated supply chain software solutions, helping organisations maximise value from technology investments while improving operational performance.

Further strengthening Extolla’s solutions capability is David Dessmann, whose experience spans both hardware and software environments within the supply chain sector. David specialises in aligning automation and technology strategies with broader business objectives, helping organisations implement scalable and customer-focused solutions. His ability to bridge the physical and digital aspects of supply chain operations enables clients to achieve measurable improvements in performance, resilience, and long-term value.
